FLIK Signature S'mores Bars

All the deliciousness of marshmallow, chocolate, and graham crackers without the campfire cleanup.

Yield: 18 servings

Ingredients

1 box graham cracker crumbs (14 oz)
1 1/2 c. salted butter, softened (3 sticks)
16 oz. semisweet chocolate chips + extra for topping
2 tbsp. salted butter, melted
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 quart heavy whipping cream
8 oz miniature marshmallows
Cooking oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Create the crust by combining the graham cracker crumbs and softened butter in a food processor. Press the mixture into a lightly greased baking dish or 1/2 sheet pan.
  3. Create the filling by melting chocolate chips in a double boiler.
  4. Remove from heat and add melted butter, sugar, heavy cream and whip.
  5. Pour mixture over graham cracker crust.
  6. Top with mini marshmallows and additional chocolate chips.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and cool completely before cutting.

If chocolate isn't your thing, maybe ice cream is more up your alley. Homemade ice cream-style treats are so simple to make and a great way to use up leftover or soft berries.

Berry Cashew Cream Bars are the perfect dairy-free treat. Made with soaked cashews and dairy-free milk, like almond milk, this delicious berry bar will hit the spot and be a fan favorite.

Banana Pecan Praline 'Nice' Cream is another dairy-free treat featuring ripe bananas and crunchy pecan pralines.

Another frozen dessert to try? Frozen Yogurt Popsicles! Check out one of our RDs and her family making homemade popsicles below:

While frozen treats may be the obvious choice for summer desserts, don't skip out on stone fruit season!

Stone Fruit Smoothie Bowls are amazing for breakfast or dessert (or lunch, or a snack). And Grilled Peach, Vanilla Greek Yogurt, Honey Oat Crumble make for a decedent treat without the wait frozen treats require.
