FLIK in the Community: Doing Good(r) in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with Merck

In partnership with Merck and Thompson Hospitality, we have found new ways to help feed those in need in New Jersey and Pennsylvania through Goodr, a unique logistics solution that helps recover and donate surplus, edible food and distributes it to nonprofit partners. 

In our inaugural week of food rescue with GoodR, the Merck kitchens in New Jersey and Pennsylvania were able to provide over 4,000 meals to nonprofits including New Community Harmony House, City Team Chester, and Raphael's Life House. Nearly 10,000 pounds of food were diverted from landfills.

Founded on the idea that surplus food should feed people in need, not landfills, Goodr helps bridge the gap between food waste and food insecurity by helping businesses track their food supply chain through real-time analytics, while also providing delicious, nutritious meals to it's vast network of nonprofits in need.
