FUELING THE NFL FROM TRAINING CAMP TO THE BIG GAME
When it comes to fueling elite athletes, food isn’t just fuel—it’s strategy.
FLIK Athletics is proud to partner with 11 NFL teams (that’s one third of the league, for anyone counting) on their performance nutrition strategy and goals. For example, fish is sourced fresh daily from seafood mongers who report to us exactly what area of the world our fish is coming from.”

“Our menus are created to highlight seasonal, local products,” says Angelo Basilone, Executive Chef at the New York Giants. “We receive daily deliveries to guarantee the freshest ingredients available.”
The spread is nutritionally varied—we cater to the needs of kickers and defensive linemen equally. But what stays consistent is the quality of the ingredients we start with. This ensures that every bite meets the nutritional needs of some of the most physically demanding jobs in the world—professional football players.
Serving the NFL does come with its unique challenges. The season stretches over 18 weeks, which means our chefs are tasked with keeping the menu exciting and engaging week after week. Balancing variety with familiarity is key.

We want to introduce dishes that surprise and delight, while also serving meals we know the players with love and look forward to. “Take tacos,” says Luke Trinosky, FLIK’s Executive Chef at the Indianapolis Colts. “It seems like everyone here likes tacos. We introduced venison and elk in taco form and they crushed it.”
“We know that fueling the players plays a big part in their success,” adds Basilone. “We want them to know we’ve got it covered—what’s going into their bodies is always prepared with pride and love.”
Food and fueling is a critical part of the equation for success. For elite athletes, eating is about preparation, recovery, and performance.
