FLY EAGLES FLY: MEET THE TEAM FUELING THE BIRDS BEHIND THE SCENES

Behind every successful NFL team is an army of dedicated professionals working tirelessly to fuel these players to optimize performance and truly fly on the field.

As the Philadelphia Eagles head to New Orleans for the Big Game, we wanted to shine a little light on the FLIK Hospitality team behind the Training Table, delivering deliciousness and ensuring the athletes are fueled, nourished, and ready to dominate the field.

Here’s the roster — in order of tenure with the Eagles:

Eugene Wilford

Sous Chef , 25 Years

With 27 years at FLIK and 25 with the Eagles, Eugene Wilford cherishes the family-like atmosphere. “What I like about the job is interacting with the players and staff because they treat us well. We’re like family here,” he says, highlighting the strong bonds formed over decades.

Matt Esham

Sous Chef , 8 years

A lifelong Eagles fan, Matt Esham has been with FLIK for 15 years and the team for eight. Running the action station, Matt enjoys the creative freedom his role offers. “It’s really fun being able to help them achieve their goals and successes,” he shares, grateful for the chance to combine his passion for cooking with his love for the Eagles.

Charles Gaitors

Culinary, 6 years

Charles Gaitors has been with FLIK for 25 years and at the Eagles’ NovaCare Complex for six. He finds joy in “helping players reach their goals and keeping a smile on everybody’s faces,” demonstrating the positive environment fostered by the team.

James Sirles

Executive Chef, 6 years

James Sirles has been with FLIK since 2004 and the Eagles for six seasons. He oversees the entire culinary operation, from menu creation to nutrition. “I really love working in the sports environment, being one-on-one with the players and coaching staff,” he says. His dedication ensures that every meal contributes to the players’ performance and growth.

Eric Montijo

Food and Beverage Director, 6 years

With 14 years at FLIK and six seasons with the Eagles, Eric Montijo thrives on bringing local flavors to the team’s menu. “We do a lot of R&D throughout the neighborhoods, talking to people and players about what’s trending in Philly,” he shares. His passion for sourcing local products and introducing new, exciting foods keeps the team’s meals fresh and dynamic.

Kim McDevitt

Barista & Nutrition Assistant, 6 years

In her sixth season, Kim McDevitt manages the coffee bar and oversees cafeteria signage and nutrition accuracy. For this week’s specialty menu, Kim “picked the top coffee specials from the whole season for the Super Bowl,” she shares, even adding creative touches like drawing [players] hurdling over a coffee cup.

Renald McCleary

Breakfast Chef, 5 years

Renald McCleary has spent four to five seasons ensuring the team starts their day right. “I know all the players’ breakfasts by heart,” he says proudly, ensuring no one waits long and everyone’s preferences are met before team meetings.

Roman Montijo

Performance Chef & Dietitian, 4 years

For the past four years, Roman Montijo has worked closely with the performance team to craft individualized meal plans for players. “It’s very rewarding to see how our role in providing performance nutrition plays a huge role in their success on the field,” Roman reflects. His work ensures players are properly fueled for every practice and game day.

Latrice Smith

Baker, Salad Bar Specialist, 1.5 years

Latrice Smith, with FLIK for a year and a half, quickly transitioned from cooking help to the team’s baker. “I include protein and make healthy substitutions, especially before weigh-ins,” she explains. Feeling appreciated and valued, Latrice loves the welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to contribute to the team’s success.

These dedicated professionals are the heartbeat behind the Philadelphia Eagles’ success, providing more than just meals—they’re crafting a culture of care, performance, and camaraderie.
