Rapport 2022

What to Expect When You Return to the Office

As the threat of the pandemic slowly transitions to acute, many companies are looking at a more comprehensive "return to office" strategy that feel fruitful, authentic, and productive to both employers and employees.

But the last few years have proved remote work can work; individuals are taking more time to focus on their mental health, and dedicating more energy to interests outside the 9-to-5 grind, and research shows hybrid work models are productive for employees and requires a balance. With the added pressure of the tight labor market, employers are focusing on workplace amenities that truly add value to their company benefits.

Walmart announced an addition of a full 360,000 sq. ft. fitness center and onsite child care for their employees. Some companies are offering pandemic puppy parents a stipend to help with dog-walking or pet-sitting during the day, or even converting to pet-friendly offices.

And despite all of the changes that the workplace has gone through over the past two years, it is clear that the physical office still has a purpose.

For those who are returning to the office following Labor Day weekend, we've put together a few workplace experiences you should be keeping your eye on.

Technology

Increase Opportunities for In-Person Collaboration

Zoom is great, but collaborating together is better. In the hybrid work environment, ensure that times in the office are truly productive and collaborative team brainstorming sessions are a great way to boost comradery among your employees.

But be prepared for the conference room shuffle.

At FLIK Conference Centers & Hotels, we focus on the meeting and hotel experience, with our service-oriented, tenured teams. To deliver the best experience possible, one of the things we focus on are ensuring technology is never a sore spot in a meeting.

Whichever conference room booking tools and AV technologies you use, make sure there's a seamless experience for your team -- both in the room and joining virtually.

Chef Collaboration

Innovate Through Food

Pandemic life created a bit of monotony for some folks in the world of culinary horizons, coming to the office is an opportunity to eat healthy and for your culinary team to flex some creative muscles in the kitchen.

Work from home habits have changed eating patterns and your employees might want something different than the standard lunch hour they enjoyed pre-pandemic. Consider healthy snack breaks and grazing stations throughout the day to ensure you're providing something nutritious and delicious for your employees.

Grab-and-go technology and mobile ordering are a must in the on-demand economy, but there's nothing better than a face to face interaction between chefs and guests over their latest culinary creations.

Say goodbye to sad desk lunches.

  • Drive employees into the café with pop up experiences, chef menu spotlights, and unique, interactive wellness tastings that create excitement for a meal break.
Breakfast Catering
