Lemon Herb Feta Chicken Sliders

Grilling is a great way to add taste to summer dishes without adding extra fat. Using lean ground chicken in your Lemon Herb Feta Chicken Sliders also reduces fat content when compared to traditional beef sliders.

This recipe provides the handheld convenience of traditional sliders while enhancing the flavor profile with a Mediterranean twist. They also require little preparation. Lemon Herb Feta Chicken Sliders

Lemon Herb Feta Chicken sliders are tasty and light. This recipe pairs perfectly with a refreshing drink and the ambiance of an outdoor seating area!

Serving size: 2 sliders, Makes 5 servings


Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons fresh lemon zest
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 pound ground chicken
3 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
10 slider buns
Burger toppings, as desired

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine black pepper, salt, lemon zest, basil, feta, lemon juice, chicken, and oregano. Mix until evenly distributed. Hand form into 2-ounce patties.
  2. Spray grill or griddle with non-stick cooking spray and cook burgers to an internal temperature of 165º F. Place each slider on a slider bun. Add toppings as desired.
