January couldn’t have been a more perfect time to launch a new creative platform for our growing community here at FLIK. With a fresh start to the new year and a clean plate for resolutions, I would like to officially welcome you to The FLIK Hospitality Blog.

We look at this blog as a community, offering a space where our dedicated team of Registered Dietitians, Executive Chefs, Marketing Leaders, and dedicated FLIK associates can exchange industry knowledge, recipes and creative inspiration with our followers.

In our Wellness sectionyou’ll find creative, seasonal recipes developed in our FLIK kitchens, alongside key nutritional facts and culinary tips and tricks that will benefit everyone from executive chefs to novice kitchen cooks. The What’s Trending section brings you highlights in relevant industry news, events happening in the business and tidbits from our social scene. In FLIK Chatter you’ll be able to read the latest articles featuring FLIK Hospitality Group and Compass Group in the news, messages from FLIK leadership and spotlights on FLIK associates.

And while the title of this section is referred to as, From the desk of…, you’ll find that all our contributors under the nutritional, culinary and marketing disciplines are rarely sitting at our desks. As a matter of fact, most of us don’t even have desks and instead are immersed directly in the field, working side-by-side with our operators, traveling by plane, train and automobile to provide hands-on service, support and hospitality.

With the New Year here, you may find yourself making resolutions for a healthier lifestyle, better choices and more knowledge as it relates to the foods that you eat. We hope this blog serves as a resource to help educate and motivate our community. I can’t wait to see what our contributors bring to the table.
