With 2019 looming in the distance, it’s the perfect time of year to reflect upon 2018. From numerous café openings throughout the United States, getting groovy on social, celebrating our team, and implementing exciting culinary innovations, we’ve accomplished so many great milestones and created even more wonderful memories.

Double Down on Sustainability
As a company, we pride ourselves on ensuring sustainability is front and center in our business and remains one of our core values. We have a responsibility to ensure a healthier planet for future generations, that’s why our operational practices center around sustainable practices. That’s why we’re consistently evaluating how we look at food waste, locally sourcing ingredients, and supporting environmentally-friendly practices in our business.
In New York, nearly twenty of our cafes participate in food rescue through Transfernation, an on-demand food rescue service. Together, we’ve donated over 95,000 pounds of food and served nearly 77,000 community meals. We’ve supported over 16 shelters and soup kitchens through this relationship. And that’s a snapshot of what we’ve committed to in New York!

This year, we hosted an inaugural Digital Symposium.
As a unique opportunity to foster a dialogue about the importance of data and the power of digital innovation, we hosted an afternoon of speakers from Compass Digital Labs, E15 Group, and Teaching Kitchen Collaborative for our senior leaders and clients.
2018 treated us really well and we’re looking forward to even more innovation, creativity, and community building in the New Year!
